------------- Installation: ------------- List of files: readme.txt This help file. calendar.js desktop.css desktop.html desktop.js notes.txt Contains the text for the notes box wallpaper.txt Contains the path to the wallpaper image Location: "C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Desktop\My Desktop" If you choose to store the files elsewhere you will have to make some extra modifications to the code. - "Display Properties" -> "Desktop" -> "Browse..." -> Select "desktop.html" -> "Open" -> "OK" When your are making changes to the desktop.html they will only be visible once the desktop is reset (Refresh/F5 does not always do this). The easiest way is to: - "Display Properties" -> "Desktop" -> Select "(None)" -> Select "desktop" -> "OK"/"Apply" --------------------------- To remove ActiveX warnings: --------------------------- - Run regedit - Navigate to: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0" - Set "FLAGS" dword value to "47" - Close regedit - Launch Internet Explorer - "Tools" -> "Internet Options" -> "Security" tab - You will now have a "My Computer" security zone (if not, try restarting Windows) - Highlight the "My Computer" zone icon - Click "Custom Level" - Under "ActiveX controls and plug-ins": - Change "Download signed ActiveX controls" to "Enable" - Change "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" to "Enable" - Change "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe" to "Enable" - Change "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" to "Enable" - Change "Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting" to "Enable" - "OK" -> "Apply" -> "OK" After doing so, you will not receive any ActiveX control warnings for local files. Please note that making the above changes will not affect files located on the web (such as files on the NTFS.org website). All websites on the Internet use the "Internet Security Zone", not the "My Computer Security Zone". --------------------------- To hide icons from desktop: --------------------------- right-click desktop -> "Arrange Icons By" -> untick "Show Desktop Icons" --------------------------- Winamp Control Executables: --------------------------- http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=29828 (created by Triffid Hunter) ------------ Other stuff: ------------ The wallpaper changer will not work if "Show pictures" is unselected in your IE "Internet Options"
